Data sources

Every piece of transit data can be traced to its source and version.

Transport Data eXchange (TDX), Ministry of Transportation and Communications (交通部運輸資料流通服務平臺)

Station, line, timetable, fare, transfer, and service alert data come from TDX. We normalize the data and then calculate transfers.

Data source: Transport Data eXchange (TDX), Ministry of Transportation and Communications (交通部運輸資料流通服務平臺)

Four types of data

  • Official source data: raw content returned by TDX, kept in versioned snapshots.
  • Normalized data: stations, lines, and timetables converted to a common format.
  • Derived results: transfer routes, calculated train times, and fare combinations.
  • Curated by us: manually confirmed transfer rules, each with supporting evidence and a confidence level.

How data is updated

We schedule syncs based on each dataset's update cycle and our TDX points budget. New data is published only after it passes validation, and if a sync fails, the last valid version stays in place.
